CAC pair strike gold
Bermuda looked to have leapt to two gold medals in the CAC Junior Championships in Veracruz, Mexico over the weekend.
Lovinz Tota in the under-20 long jump and Latroya Darrell in the under-17 high jump reportedly finished first in their respective events in the regional junior athletics showpiece.
Their performances have crowned a good year for the youngsters as both also picked up gold in the same events and age group categories in the Carifta Games held here over the Easter weekend.
The CAC event is an important warm-up for Tota, who will represent Bermuda at the world junior championships in Italy next month after reaching his qualifying mark during the Carifta event at the National Sports Centre.
No further details of their gold medal performances were available at press time last night.
