More games washed out
Remnants of a severe winter storm that continues to batter the US East Coast resulted in last night?s Friendship Trophy and First Division Shield semi-final double-header at BAA Field being postponed.
First Division leaders Devonshire Colts were scheduled to take on fellow promotion rivals St.David?s in the 7 p.m. curtain raiser while North Village ? the current cup holders ? were due to battle PHC Zebras for the second time in as many days at 9 p.m.
?Because of the inclement weather it was decided in the best interests to postpone the matches until a later date,? explained Bermuda Football Association league and cup competitions chairman Charles Clarke.
?The decision to postpone the matches was made just after 10 a.m. yesterday by the association and it?s too early at this point to confirm any possible new date.?
