Blazers look to stretch lead
Premier Division leaders Boulevard will resume their quest for a first league championship in 12 years when they take on Devonshire Cougars at the Den tonight.
Blazers, the only remaining unbeaten team in the top flight, currently hold a six-point lead over nearest rivals Somerset Trojans.
And a win tonight would keep Shaki Crockwell?s team well on course to achieve what not too long ago seemed the impossible.
But the league leaders will have to find a way to keep winning without suspended duo Melchisedec Gibbons and Damon Darrell and key defender Stanton Lewis.
Boulevard served notice that they intend to challenge for league honours this season against Cougars last October at BAA Field where they edged the Big Cats 2-1.
Cougars, meanwhile, will try to put their recent Premier?s Dudley Eve Cup loss to Trojans behind them and get things back on track.
Darius Cox, Domico Coddington and Kwame Steede all saw action for Bermuda against Haiti in Trinidad earlier this week, along with Blazers? Crockwell who missed a penalty on his senior national team debut.
Cougars? prolific goalscorer Raymond (Packy) Beach could also be in his team?s line-up tonight having returned from injury against Trojans on New Year?s Day.
Tonight?s Premier Division clash will be preceded by an Under-18 youth contest between Cougars and Boulevard.
