Dear Sir,

In early October Government provided arrivals figures - which gave us an indication of the depth of the problem confronting anyone involved in tourism directly or indirectly.

However, for some reason there now seems to be great reluctance on their part to continue this practice of letting everyone know how arrivals are going. We have just recently had a Tourism Conference and I don't think they released any figures there either.

Would you see if you can coax Government into letting us have some up-to-date info? How can we plan for the future if we don't have relevant information?

Maybe the Department of Tourism should re-invent itself ...
