I know this note is long overdue, but I want to publicly thank the Southampton Princess and its staff for the way they treated me and other guests on and after September 11.I was there on business and scheduled to fly out that day. Throughout the rest of that day and the following days of uncertainty, the staff were professional, helpful, concerned, and amazingly patient. Without being asked, they reduced the rates for anyone who couldn't leave because of flight cancellations. The service remained at a very high level, and they answered the same questions again and again without showing the least impatience or frustration.

Bermuda is a beautiful country, and I have never met anyone there who wasn't friendly and courteous. But the response of the staff of the Southampton Princess during the period of that tragedy is something I will never forget.
