Two Jamaican nationals who are illegal immigrants to Bermuda are being hunted by the authorities.

News of the search for Lincoln Alphonso Phinn, 29, and Michael Douglas Massop, 34, was released to promote a new Crime Stoppers website that will host further Immigration Department appeals in future.

The organisation hopes the public will assist in tracing the pair, who have worked in the construction industry in the past and are believed to now be in Bermuda without permission.

?The public should be aware that it is an offence to harbour or shelter illegal immigrants,? said Crime Stoppers chairman Sean Pitcher.

Mr. Pitcher said the site at www.crimestoppers.bm will go live in January in a bid to assist the Police, Customs, and Immigration in identifying and locating illegal immigrants as well as tracing stolen property.

It will be updated regularly, with members of the public encouraged to call the toll-free confidential hotline number at 1-800-623-8477 with any information that could help.

Mr. Pitcher added: ?In the United Kingdom, the Crime Stoppers website went live in March of this year and received over one million hits in its first three months.?
