Senior conned out of $1,200

Police are investigating a bizarre theft from a 75-year-old man conned into handing over $1,200 in cash to a woman who came to his Pembroke rest home. The stranger picked him up in a black car on Wednesday after claiming his cousin needed money for bail.

The woman then took him to a Church Street ATM. She drove him back home. The suspect is described as dark brown, five foot three inches tall, wearing khaki pants and shirt. She is believed to be around 25-years-old and was driving a black Mitsubishi. Anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton CID on 295 0011.
