Environment Minister Neletha Butterfield was in Jamaica this week witnessing the historic swearing in of the island's new Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller was sworn in at a special ceremony, witnessed by several Caribbean dignitaries and heads of nations and Ms Butterfield represented Government and the people of Bermuda, a release said.

Mrs. Simpson-Miller was elected as Jamaica's new PM on February 25.
