A crewman with heart problems was rushed to hospital yesterday after being flown to the Airport by a US navy helicopter.

The 58-year-old was aboard the Bahamian motor vessel Jutta about 275 miles east south east of Bermuda heading to Maine when a US navy warship reached him.

That ship picked him up and took him nearer to Bermuda before the helicopter set off.

The man was seen walking to the ambulance when he got off the helicopter late yesterday afternoon.
