The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 75.26 points or 2.80 percent yesterday to close at 2,617.09.

A total of 4,357 shares worth $44,673 were traded.

Only two stocks traded for the day, including the Bank of Bermuda which dropped $2.40 or 5.4 percent to close at $42.10 on volume of 757 shares.

The only other active issue was Watlington Waterworks which gained 5 cents or 1.4 percent to close at $3.55 on volume of 3,600 shares.
