Poor week on the BSX
Shares retreated on the Bermuda Stock Exchange last week, as The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index dropped 83.06 points in moderate trading.
The Index closed at 3,882.7 on volume of 64,092 shares worth $1.68 million.
Argus Group led the decliners, falling $1.75 or 13.46 percent to close at $11.25 on volume of 15,841 shares.
Also falling was Belco Holdings, which dropped $2 or 4.76 percent to $40 on trading of 1,161 shares.
Bank shares also fell, with Bermuda Commercial Bank down 20 cents to $8.75 on volume of 2,000 shares while Index bellwether Butterfield Bank slipped off its all-time high of $46.75 to close down 15 cents at $46.60 on volume of 24,002.
Trading unchanged were Bermuda Container Line, which held at $14.50 on hefty volume of 20,000 shares and KeyTech, which saw 1,000 shares trade at $13.
