FKBnet, the Internet provider arm of Fort Knox, announced yesterday that it has introduced a new high speed Internet service.

Troy Symonds, chief executive officer of FKBnet said that it had always been a goal of the company to provide high speed Internet to families and businesses in Bermuda at a more cost effective price: "The Internet is no longer a luxury item. It has become a utility.

" It provides vital communications between family and friends and should not be cost prohibitive" said Mr Symonds.

The DSL service is a joint project between BTC Velocity and FKBNet.
