The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 41.77 points yesterday to close yesterday at 4,904.69.

On a light day of trading on the Exchange, Watlington Waterworks rose $1 to close at $13.50 as investors traded in 2,602 shares to close at $13.50.

Butterfield Bank gained 75 cents to close at $57.50 as investors traded in 3,676 shares and Belco traded in 1,510 shares to close unchanged at $23.50.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $269,732.00 and the overall volume of shares traded was 7,988.
