The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index was pushed down in trading yesterday when 14,600 Bank of Butterfield shares changed hands. Over the day, the price of the bank's shares fell by $1.25 to $34.

The net effect of that development was that the Index fell by 30.26 points to 2,682.45.
