Active trading on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday pushed the index up 51.84 points to 2,712.71.

The greatest trading activity was in KeyTech shares, with the communications conglomerate - owner of BTC, BTC Mobility and Logic Communications - trading 6,300 shares although there was no price change to its stock value ($9.75).

BSX-listed banks also saw strong activity yesterday with 2,300 Bank of Butterfield shares trading at $35.25. The Bank of Bermuda traded 100 of its shares and saw its stock close up $1.75 to $40.

Bermuda Commercial Bank yesterday saw 500 shares change hands while its stock price slipped 50 cents to $6.75. Utility company Belco also traded 523 shares.
