SeaDrill shares rise on higher earnings

(Bloomberg) ? Shares of SeaDrill Ltd., an oil- drilling company, rose as much as six percent after the company posted better-than-expected quarterly earnings and forecast higher profit for the rest of the year.
Net income at Bermuda-based SeaDrill, which was set up by shipping billionaire John Fredriksen last year, rose to $33.3 million in the second quarter from $620,000 a year earlier, the company said after the Oslo exchange closed.
