Belco Holdings Ltd. shares matched their 52-week high yesterday when they jumped 4.8 percent to close at $32.50.

The rise in Belco's share price - it rose $1 to $31 on Thursday - helped drive The Royal Gazette/Exchange up 12.59 points to 2,390.66 on volume of 19,550 shares worth $598,176.

Belco Holdings shares rose $1.50 on volume of 19,000 shares, while Bank of Butterfield rose 25 cents to close at $31.75 on volume of just 300 shares. Bank of Bermuda was unchanged at $36 on volume of 250 shares on the BSX, while its shares were unchanged at $6.50 on volume of 12,000 shares on the Nasdaq.
