A husband and wife who denied breaches of Covid-19 quarantine regulations yesterday had a date set for trial.

Sophia Cannonier, 53, and husband, Michael Watson, 46, will appear in Magistrates’ Court on November 4.

It is alleged the two, from Devonshire, refused to comply with a mandatory quarantine and failed to complete a travel authorisation form on July 11.

The couple, in a separate case, have also been charged with leaving their home on July 20 before the end of their mandatory quarantine it alleged Ms Cannonier allowed unauthorised people to visit her on the same day.

The two have denied all the charges.

The court heard that disclosure for the July 20 charges had not been completed.

Marc Daniels, for the defence, said that his clients may join the two cases together.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo adjourned the case until September 27 to confirm whether or not disclosure had been completed and if the cases would be heard together.
