Bank stock finishes lower on NYSE

The RG/BSX Index closed unchanged at 2,559.88, in the absence of trading.

The BSX Insurance Index remained unquoted.

The Bank of Butterfield finished on the New York Stock Exchange down 67 cents (02.08 per cent) to $31.49.

A Bermuda Stock Exchange filing states that on August 2, the HSBC Holdings PLC directors announced an interim dividend for the 2021 half year of $0.07 per ordinary share payable on 30 September to holders of record on 20 August on the Principal Register in the United Kingdom, the Hong Kong Overseas Branch Register or the Bermuda Overseas Branch Register.

The dividend is payable in cash in United States dollars, sterling or Hong Kong dollars, or a combination of these currencies.

Dividends payable in cash in Hong Kong dollars or sterling were converted from United States dollars at the forward exchange rates quoted by HSBC Bank plc in London on 20 September 2021 (US$1=HK$7.786810 and £1=US$1.367109).

Accordingly, the cash dividend payable on 30 September 2021 will be: US$0.07 per share; approximately HK$0.545077 per share; or approximately £0.051203 per share.

For holders of American Depositary Shares, each of which represents five ordinary shares, the cash dividend payable will be $0.35 per ADS, paid September 30.

HSBC Holdings PLC directors announced an interim dividend for the 2021 half year of $0.07 per ordinary share payable on 30 September to holders of record on 20 August.
