A Supreme Court judge has recused herself from hearing cases involving former Premier Ewart Brown.

Puisne Judge Shade Subair Williams had been set to preside over two matters involving Dr Brown, including a criminal case regarding 13 charges of official corruption.

Dr Brown has not been required to enter a plea in the case.

Mrs Justice Subair Williams was also to hear a civil court matter launched by Dr Brown against the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Attorney General and the Deputy Governor.

However she said she would step away from both matters in a court ruling dated March 17.

It has not been announced who will now preside over the cases, which are set to continue in the Supreme Court.
