70-year-old man found dead in Hamilton named as Keith Gordon

A senior found dead at a home on Victoria Street in Hamilton on Saturday has been named as Keith Gordon.

Mr Gordon was the brother of former Premier Dame Pamela Gordon Banks and former One Bermuda Alliance MP Patricia Gordon Pamplin.

Police have appealed for witnesses who may have information relating to Mr Gordon’s death, in particular anyone who may have seen an argument that took place on Victoria Street on Friday night or early on Saturday.

A police spokesman said: “Having received certain information, the Bermuda Police Service has begun an investigation into the death of a 70-year-old male, whose lifeless body was found at a Victoria Street, City of Hamilton residence on Saturday, June 11.”

Detective Inspector Jason Smith added: “An autopsy is set to take place as part of this investigation into this matter.

“We wish to thank those members of the public who have provided us with information.

“However, we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed two males involved in an altercation near the Ex-Artillery club on Victoria Street, City of Hamilton between the hours of 8pm on Friday, June 10, and 3am on Saturday, June 11, to please get in contact with us.”

The BPS spokesman added: “Anyone with information on this matter is asked to call 211, the main police number, 295-0011 or, as in the case of those who have already come forward, speak with an officer you know.”

The spokesman added that a police family liaison officer has been appointed to assist Mr Gordon’s relatives.

No further information will be released to the public until an autopsy has been performed.
