Roadworks in Southampton next week

Road closures in two parishes are set to start this Saturday, the Ministry of Public Works has warned.

Trenching will continue along Middle Road in Southampton from August 20 to August 28 from 7am to 7pm.

Lighthouse Road will be closed to all traffic at its junction with Princess Road and Middle Road. Princess Road and Middle Road will be subject to a one-lane closure.

Lighthouse Road will be accessible via detours through South Road and St Anne’s Road.

Traffic will be directed by employees of Intelligent Excavating and Landscaping.

Any questions should be directed to Jonathan Pedro, the Belco project manager in charge of the site, on 295-5111 ext 1441.

Any questions about detours should be brought to Tina Beer-Searle, the acting principal highways engineer for the Ministry of Public Works, on 501-3044.

Pitt’s Bay Road between Bermudiana Road and Woodbourne Avenue for Made in Bermuda Nights at Barr’s Bay Park.

The evening fair will take place every Saturday from this weekend until September 3.

Representative with Made in Bermuda Nights will direct traffic during the lane closure. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes.
