Jediah Cumbermack gains valuable experience in California

Need for speed: Jediah Cumbermack enjoyed a memorable time testing his skills at the JP43 Training Camp

Jediah Cumbermack enjoyed a memorable time testing his skills at the JP43 Training Camp in Buena Park, California.

The 16-year-old has been invited to the JP43 Training Camp, run by one of the sport’s top coaches Jason Pridmore, in preparation for the Junior Cup at the renowned Daytona International Speedway, in Florida.

While in California, Cumbermack also competed in a number of races at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, considered Southern California’s premier course, winning the amateur class race and finishing third in the amateur/expert class race.

The following day the CedarBridge Academy student came second in the expert class race, crashing out in the shoot-out race before recovering to finish third in race three.

It capped a valuable experience for Cumbermack, who is hoping this year to move a step closer to fulfilling his dream of a professional motorcycle racing career.

“I had a great weekend at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. I received great coaching from JP43 training,” said Cumbermack, who raced in several races in the inaugural North America Talent Cup last year and competed against some of the top young riders from the United States, Canada and Mexico after being selected among 20 riders from a list of more than 2,000 applicants.

“I just want to thank Jason Pridmore of JP43, mechanics Sean and Robin, and the whole JP43 team who made this the best experience I’ve had in racing so far.”
