Bermuda Perfumery adds two men's fragrances

The Bermuda Perfumery has brought out two new men's fragrances under the brand Lili Bermuda, and named them after the longitude and latitude co-ordinates of Bermuda "32°N" and "64°W."

The decision to name them after the two co-ordinates is meant to denote a contrast and also define Bermuda's two principal environments the ocean and the earth, according to the company.

Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone, managing director of The Bermuda Perfumery and creator of the two fragrances, has described 32°N as a "modern fragrance for men that is fresh, aromatic and transparent. 32°N is very oceanic with lovely masculine notes of mandarine, lemon and precious woods."

She said that, by contrast, 64°W is "a sparkling blend of earthy notes with green orange leaves, patchouli, grapefruit and a touch of amber."

And she added: "Creating a new fragrance is an art similar to painting or sculpture. I believe that like good art, it must be reflective of its environment while at the same time adding its own unique feel. 32°N and 64°W reflect a modern and refined Bermuda while at the same they are very original when compared to other men's fragrances on the market."

local junior sailor and senior student at Warwick Academy, Campbell Duffy, is featured as part of Lili Bermuda's print advertising campaign supporting the launch of 32°N and 64°W, features, a local junior sailor and senior student at Warwick Academy.

The two fragrances, both made in Bermuda, are sold exclusively on the Island at The Bermuda Perfumery in Queen Street, St. George's and at a number of other retailers across the Island.

The addition of the new fragrances doubles the number of men's fragrances within the perfumery's portfolio, the other two are Cedar and Navy.

For women there is a range of eight perfumes; Pink, Coral, Lily, Oleander, Passion Flower, Paradise, Jasmine and Frangipanni.
