<Bz48>HSBC unveils revamped branch at airport

Bank of Bermuda has launched a major branding campaign at Bermuda International Airport and unveiled its newly-renovated airport branch.

The branding campaign is part of a three-year agreement to place advertising throughout the arrivals area and in the US Customs clearance area.

One of the images chosen for the Island’s airport shows a Gombey dancer in action.

Banking group HSBC, of which the bank is an affiliate, has signed similar agreements with major airports around the world.

Head of Marketing at Bank of Bermuda, Marianne Suschak-Matvey, said: “We hope visitors and residents alike will be excited about our new branding campaign which features many familiar sights and places in Bermuda, as we welcome residents back home and provide visitors with a first glimpse of our beautiful island.”

The bank is carrying out renovations in branches across the Island, including Somerset, the Church Street branch and the new lending centre in Reid Street.

The renovated airport branch has been upgraded to a full service branch, with the addition of an Internet banking station, a personal banker and extended retail and commercial banking services, with 24-hour ATM services and a night depository drop off.

Bank of Bermuda’s chief executive officer Philip Butterfield, said: “Our intention was to create a more customer friendly atmosphere and enhance our service offering to customers and clients in the East End of the Island. Bank of Bermuda recognises the importance our branches play in serving our customers and as such we have been updating branches island-wide. Additionally, we recently promoted Trina Roberts to a newly created position of manager of the Eastern Island Branches.”
