Drawing on creativity!
Creative youngsters got in the festive spirit when they were rewarded for taking part in a Christmas card design competition.
Bermuda Union of Teachers (BUT) runs the contest every year for primary and middle school pupils and uses the winning pictures on its official Christmas cards.
This year's winners were invited to a reception at BUT headquarters in Hamilton where they received tokens of appreciation.
The students will also get to visit the printing press when their drawings are converted into prints.
BUT general secretary Mike Charles said: "They have done fantastic work; the entries were very good quality. Our judge was Mrs. Shirley Pearman, former art teacher at Warwick Secondary School. She explained to the parents and everybody who was there at the reception how proud she was."
The results were: Spice Valley Middle School: Trae Trott (1st), Daja-Nae Smith (2nd) and Jonique Crockwell (3rd).
Sandys Secondary Middle School: Glenn Simmons (3rd). West Pembroke Primary School: Naimah Frith (1st), Derek Ricketts (2nd), Khala Wolffe (3rd) and honourable mentions Tiante Swan, Jada Simmons-Trott, Jordan Simmons-Trott. Paget Primary School: honourable mention: Attiyaa Boyles.
