BNTB climbs 10.3%
Butterfield Bank was the biggest climber on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) last week.The bank rose 10.3 percent (15 cents) to $1.60 with 11,100 shares traded.KeyTech Ltd also advanced 4.3 percent (25 cents) to $6 as 19,700 shares changed hands, while the Ascendant Group Ltd also inched up 3.5 percent (49 cents) to $14.49 with 500 shares transacted.Devonshire Industries Ltd, however, fell 8.2 percent (45 cents) to $5.05 as 2,300 shares were traded.Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd was the only other trader, seeing 500 shares change hands, but its share value held firm at $11.The Index, as a whole, increased 79.03 points (6.16 percent) to 1,282.58 as 34,100 shares worth $163,731 were transacted.The BSX Insurance Index also rose four points (0.4 percent) to 994 - the same amount as it did on Wednesday.
