True Green Capital Management has selected Apex Group to provide fund administration and investor reporting solutions for its Fund IV.

“Apex Group came highly recommended for their exceptional client service and extensive experience of supporting specialised energy infrastructure funds,” said Rami Naber, chief accounting officer of TGC, a specialised renewable energy infrastructure investment firm, based in Connecticut.“

He said TGC was impressed by Apex’s technical knowledge, attention to detail and its efficient onboarding and launch process.

“We look forward to working with the support of Apex Group, which will enable us to focus on our strategy of investing in distributed power generation assets,” Mr Naber said.

According to a total economic impact report by Forrester Consulting, clients of Apex Group’s single-source solution achieve, on average, cost benefits of $5.39 million, with a net present value of $2.75 million over a three-year period.

Apex Group has also been the global administrator for environmentally driven real assets funds for renewable energy investors such as Octopus Investments Australia and Federation Asset Management’s Sustainable Australian Real Asset Trust.

“In 2023, renewable energy infrastructure has continued to be a hotspot of fundraising and investment activity, with experienced managers with strong track records, such as TGC, attracting significant interest from investors,” said Guy Moritz, director of business development, private equity and real estate, at Apex Group.

Apex Group recently issued its first sustainability report, a voluntary disclosure offering transparency on its initiatives in climate action.

Since 2011, TGC has deployed more than $1.2 billion of total capital representing an approximate 520MW portfolio across the United States and France.

TGC has raised four private equity funds with more than $1 billion of equity capital, including Fund IV, which closed in May 2022 with more than $660 million of equity from primary segments of the institutional market, including US public and corporate pension plans, US and UK insurance companies, endowments, foundations, global asset managers, wealth managers, fund of funds and family offices.
