Bad weather halts Sims charge

Bad weather meant Michael Sims was only able to complete three holes at the Price Cutter Charity Classic in Missouri yesterday — though the stormy conditions didn’t appear to affect his play that much as he sat on two-under for the round when play was suspended.Having carded a three-over par 75 on day one at the 7,060-yard Highland Springs Country Club in Springfield and with the projected cut at minus-two, Sims knows when he returns to the course early this morning that he will have to shoot five-under to stay in the tournament. The Bermuda number one enjoyed his best-ever finish on the Nationwide Tour last week, picking up over $18,000 for his tenth placed finish at the Nationwide Hospital Charity Classic in Ohio.
