More than $2.5 million worth of shares traded on the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange last week, but the Index remained unchanged.

Meanwhile the BSX Insurance Index enjoyed a good week, rising 7.99 points (0.62 percent) to close on 1,294.41.

Two issues dominated the trading — Butterfield Bank Ltd. and BF&M Ltd — but there were no advancers or decliners.

A total of 36,611 Butterfield Bank shares changed hands over the five days, as the Bank closed unchanged on its 52-week high price of $60.

Insurer BF&M was also unchanged on $18.95, as 17,319 of its shares traded.

Belco Holdings Ltd. saw 500 of its shares trade, 452 Bermuda Commercial Bank (BCB) shares changed hands, plus 226 shares of BCB Warrants.

Volume was 55,108 and turnover was $2,544,214. The Index remained at 5,131.50.
