BSX hits new record

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) continued to break more records as it reached an all-time high yesterday.
Having set two all-time high records last week, the Index climbed 174.58 points (3.35 percent) to close at 5,382.06.
17,415 shares were traded, with a turnover of $836,656.
Butterfield Bank followed the market's lead, equalling its 52-week high after jumping $3.50 (5.7 percent) to $65, with a total of 11,595 shares changing hands.
The only other change was BF&M Ltd, whose share value lost 90 cents (4.7 percent) to slump back to $18.25.
The BSX Insurance Index also showed steady signs of recovery, increasing 24.06 points (1.93 percent) to finish on 1,268.99.
