Woman in custody after slashing another
Two women were attacked and required treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after an incident at a Lemon Grove Road, Hamilton Parish residence.
Officers attended the scene on Tuesday night and say it appears the victims, an 18-year-old from Warwick and a 21-year-old from Hamilton Parish, were assaulted outside their home around 10.45 p.m.
The suspect, a 29-year-old St. George's woman, arrived on a motorcycle and proceeded to punch both women in the face and used a bladed weapon to slash the face and neck of the Warwick woman.
Their attacker fled the scene on her bike and the women were taken to hospital, where the 18-year-old received treatment for neck and facial lacerations.
She is currently listed in stable condition on a general ward. The 21-year-old was treated for facial soreness and released.
The culprit subsequently turned herself in at the Southside Police Station and was arrested. Inquiries are underway.
