Police seek witnesses to indecent exposure incident
Police are appealing for witnesses to alleged indecent exposure that occurred at the World Rugby Classic.
The Bermuda Police Service is investigating the incident, which was caught on a widely shared video clip during the tournament being held at North Field, National Sports Centre, in Devonshire.
The clip appears to show a naked man riding a mechanical bull under one of the tents.
Police are interested in speaking with anyone who may have been at the tent where the incident occurred, in particular a woman seen attempting to stop the man and the individual who recorded it.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Antoine Daniels said: “This matter is being treated with the same level of seriousness as all acts of indecent exposure in any public place. While police officers were in the general vicinity of where the incident occurred, it was not brought to their attention.
“That notwithstanding, immediately upon learning of the incident, an investigation was commenced.”
Police said that no formal report has been made to them concerning the incident but said “the matter is being progressed”.
Anyone with information should call the main police number on 295-0011 or speak with a police officer they know.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information on what transpired should contact Acting Detective Superintendent Sherwin Joseph by calling 717-2158 or emailing jsherwin@bps.bm.
