Drivers hurt in crashes
A Pembroke man is in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital after he was involved in a single vehicle accident in the early hours of yesterday.
And another man was rushed to the hospital after he was involved in a collision with a car.
The first accident happened on Somerset Road shortly before 3 a.m. yesterday.
It appears the 32 year old lost control of his bike when he was travelling east near the junction with Mangrove Bay Road when he collided with the sidewalk and drove into a tree.
He sustained internal injuries and was taken to the King Edward Memorial Hospital.
His bike was extensively damaged during the accident.
Police are appealing to witnesses to P.c. Melesia Iris at Somerset Police Station on 234-1010 or the main Police number, 295-0011.
And another accident happened at 10 a.m. yesterday on St. John's Road in Pembroke involving a car and a motorcycle.
It appears that the car was travelling east and the motorcycle was travelling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided, as the car attempted to make a right turn.
The rider of the cycle, a 49-year-old Sandys man, sustained abrasions to his hands and face and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car, a 76-year-old Warwick woman, was not injured.
