Shares valued at $1.7 million were traded last week on the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange, as the index ended 6.76 points (0.13 percent) down at 5,181.03.

BF&M shares ended 65 cents (3.51 percent) higher, and Bermuda Commercial Bank improved 25 cents (2.38 percent) and Belco Holdings went up $1.45 (7.16 percent).

Going down were Butterfield Bank shares which ended 50 cents (0.81 percent) lower and Argus Group Holdings which also fell 50 cents (3.23 percent).

The total volume of shares traded during the week was 46,363.
