Fishing success
The Bermuda Anglers Club hosted their 42nd International Light Tackle Tournament last week.
Six, three-person teams fished offshore for four days on a different boat each day, using 12 pound line test only.
The anglers were from USA, Bahamas, New Zealand and Bermuda.
Peter Mitchell and David Skinner fished for the Bermuda Anglers Club came from fourth on the third day to be the top team on the final day with an amazing catch of Wahoo — combined with being top on day two and four which put them in the winning spot.
They will also be representing the club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in May 2008 as part of the IGFA Offshore Championship Tournament.
For first time the top angler overall wasn’t from the winning team. New Zealnder Dean Rea who is working in Bermuda fished with father and son David and David Lines as team The 3D’s won a Tag Hauer watch, which was donated Crisson Jewellery Store.
The team was second overall.
