Six cruise ships fill local ports

Photo by Chris Burville May 30 2007 Three cruise ships dot the Hamilton harbourfront, forcing the third to dock at the cargo docks and transport passengers to Albouy's Point for drop off and custom's inspection.

Cargo vessel Oleander arrived in Bermuda from Port Elizabeth, New Jersey, on Sunday, carrying 207 containers including 50 refrigerated.

It also brought in 12 flat-bed trailers, one mafi, three cars and one box truck. It sailed from Bermuda yesterday morning.

The Somers Isles is scheduled to arrive today carrying 147 containers that include seven refrigerated plus six boats and one car.

The Bermuda Islanderis expected to arrive on the Island tomorrow with 145 containers including 23 of those refrigerated.

Cruise ships Azamara Journeyand the Empress of the Seaspulled into Hamilton on Monday.

The Norwegian Spiritarrived in Dockyard on Monday, before departing in that afternoon.

Grandeur of The Seas stopped by in Dockyard yesterday and will leave Bermuda today. Norwegian Crown and the Norwegian Majesty arrived yesterday in St. George's.
