Rangers bid to retain Belco Cup
Premier Division outfit Southampton Rangers will be striving to retain their Belco Cup crown for the third successive year when the Island’s top four clubs battle for supremacy next weekend.
Rangers, who lifted the inaugural trophy in 2003, will be defending their much coveted title against Flatts at Lords.
While the 2006 beaten finalist’s St David’s will take on Young Men’s Social Club at Somerset Cricket Club.
In recognition of five years of the Belco Cup, any bowler to take five wickets will be awarded $500 to donate to a charity of the team’s choice — plus a $250 electricity credit.
During the interval at Sunday’s final the Bermudan women’s cricket team, who are currently preparing for World Cup qualification, will be presenting a programme.
The semi-final games will be played on June 9 with the final being contested at Lords on Sunday, June 10.
