Unforgettable holiday

April 5, 2007

Dear Sir,

My daughter and I recently visited your beautiful Island. we spent six days and five nights at the Grotto Bay Beach Resort. During our stay we visited the Parish of St. George, where we met a remarkable couple, Leon and Evannie Dickenson, who owned a small clothing shop on Water Street called Family Clothing. Ms Dickenson treated my daughter and me as if we were a part of her family. Never have I experienced such warmth and kindness from a stranger.

During our visit she volunteered to escort my daughter and me on a tour of your entire Island. She took us to all nine Parishes and pointed out all of the beautiful landmarks and beaches. They went out of their way to ensure that our visit was not only exciting and memorable but a learning experience that we would never forget; and thus far has not been matched by any other we have experienced. During the tour she shared the history of Bermuda. My daughter learned so much during our visit that she is writing a report on Bermuda for school She is very excited about sharing her report with her teachers and peers. Ms Evannie also invited us over for dinner. She cooked a delicious meal which consisted of baked salmon over a bed of rice with steamed broccoli. Then Ms Evannie and Mr. Leon bought hot cross buns as a gift for my mother, who enjoyed them immensely.

Ms Evannie and Mr. Leon went out of their way to turn our vacation into a life changing experience for my daughter and me. Therefore, I felt compelled to write this letter to express my appreciation for their genuine hospitality and kindness. Thank you so much Ms Evannie and Mr. Leon. We will remember you always.
