An improvement in the value of Argus shares helped lift the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange 17.32 points (0.34 percent) to a close of 5164.7.

Insurance and pension company Argus was the only stock to show movement.

Shares in the group improved by 50 cents (3.3 percent) to $15.50 after 1,100 changed hands.

Butterfield Bank shares remained at $59.50 although 253 were traded during the day.

The total number of shares exchanged was 1,353, worth a total of $32,111.75.
