Health and safety sessions target employers
Employers are advised about a series of vital sessions in health and safety at work.
The Occupational Safety and Health Office is running a course — featuring tips on matters such as accident investigation and how to write a safety and health policy — over the next seven months.
The course is based on health and safety rules which specify all places of employment with ten or more employees should have a health and safety committee, and smaller companies must appoint a health and safety representative.
Course participants will be able to learn about their legal roles as employer and employee.
The four-day sessions will run at a venue to be fixed from April 17 to 20; May 8 to 11; June 19 to 22; August 14 to 19; September 18 to 21; October 16 to 19; and November 14 to 17.
They are aimed at human resources personnel or anyone on health and safety committees.
