CedarBridge forced to step up security

Security has been bolstered at a public high school after incidents of misconduct.Jason Wade, the chairman of CedarBridge Academy, said that meetings had taken place with parents of pupils involved with “recent incidents” at the Prospect school, “some of which have been the subject of social media comments”.He added: “Consequences for misconduct were issued where warranted. “In response to the recent incidents, our security protocols have been reviewed and enhanced where necessary.” Additional details about the incidents were not provided. Mr Wade said the safety of school pupils was a “top priority” of the principal and staff. He added: “As such, continuing partnerships with the Ministry of National Security have been established to assist with mediation and behaviour modification, as part of our efforts to ensure our students’ safety.”Mr Wade said that Diallo Rabain, the Minister of Education, visited the school yesterday and spoke with staff and “was satisfied that we are strengthening our protocols to address and prevent such incidents in the future”. He added: “There have been no further incidents since Tuesday and it is expected that this will continue.”
