Digital finance basics class offered to entrepreneurs

Business owners will learn how to take and make cryptocurrency payments (Photograph supplied)

Penrose Partners is launching a workshop to help local entrepreneurs utilise cryptocurrency.

The workshop, organised in collaboration with the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, will walk participants through the fundamentals of digital finance, focusing on how to accept and make crypto payments using USDC, a type of stablecoin, through the Coinbase Wallet.

The session will also cover basic security and storage best practices and provide important information to help vendors and volunteers prepare for successful participation in the Digital Finance Forum on May 7.

The free event is on April 30 from 3pm to 6pm at the BEDC head office at 48 Church Street, Hamilton.

During the training, vendors will complete their final onboarding forms and paperwork to qualify for a $750 USDC grant. Volunteers will receive specific training on how to assist vendors during the activation.
