Zerohash partners with Majority to enable cross-border stablecoin payments
Majority, the mobile banking and international money transfer service for internationals, has launched cross-border stablecoin payments to Latin America, powered by Zerohash, a fintech company with a presence in Bermuda.
The integration allows eligible Majority members to send money to family in Latin America who are also members, without leaving the Majority app.
Through the integration, senders pay in United States dollars and recipients receive USDC, a dollar-backed stablecoin, in their Majority Global Wallet.
Zerohash is the licensed provider for the conversion and delivery of funds, and Majority is the app that members use to send and receive. Stablecoin payments let Majority members send money across borders 24/7, including on weekends and holidays.
“Our members support family back home every week, and that should not depend on bank hours,” said Anders Rasmussen, product director at Majority. “With Zero Hash, eligible members in the US can now send money to family in Latin America any day of the week, right from the Majority app.”
Local airline BermudAir also partnered with Zero Hash last year to become the first airline in the world to offer native stablecoin payments for ticket bookings.
