AI podcast features in Olde Towne’s monthly newsletter
An artificial intelligence podcast is featured in the May edition of the Olde Towne’s monthly newsletter.
The move complements Bermuda’s Heritage Month theme, “The Future is Now”, and the Corporation of St George said the podcast traced the evolution of the town’s legacy of modernisation.
The newsletter features a blend of community updates, event information and features.
Among key updates, residents should take note that the next general meeting of the corporation will be on May 29 at 6pm in the Town Hall.
Reports from the town manager, board members and committees will feature, as well as a public question and answer session.
The town manager highlighted May as the unofficial start of summer in Bermuda.
This month, two major national events — the 38th Annual Convex End-to-End tomorrow and the Bermuda Day Half Marathon Derby on May 23 — will kick off in St George's.
The End-to-End will start at King’s Square at 7am while the Bermuda Day Half-Marathon Derby will start from the foot of Barrack Hill at 8.30am.
Residents were advised that York Street would temporarily close during the marathon’s start.
In a recap, the Corporation of St George said it proudly supported the Women's Resource Centre's HerStory event last month.
It was held alongside the reopening of Long Story Short and Frequency Café on Water Street West.
The corporation welcomed new businesses The English Market, Gardine's Flower Shop and Moongate Brewery.
It also highlighted the holding of Poetry Day, where students shared original work with peers, families and community leaders.
