A Bermuda company with offices In Canada and the UK is addressing the rising tide of mental health problems in the workplace.

Muuvment, the Bermudian-headquartered social-impact company, has launched Muuvment Lens, a scientifically validated digital programme that builds resilience and improves coping skills.

The Bermuda company has an artificial intelligence-powered platform seeking to revolutionise sustainability and organisational resilience.

Learning Effective New Strategies was developed through more than two decades of research and is now available to organisations worldwide through the Muuvment platform.

Colette Hirsch, professor of cognitive and clinical psychology at King’s College London said the programme was grounded in mechanistic research.

Dr Hirsch said: “[That] shows us not just what works, but also why. Lens systematically trains users to interpret ambiguous scenarios more positively, effectively enhancing resilience.”

It is based on a range of robust randomised clinical studies at King’s College London in which 75 per cent of participants experiencing anxiety or depression demonstrated significant improvement through the programme.

The research from those studies has been adapted to support employee resilience through a self-led online training programme.

Kim Carter, the chief executive and cofounder of Muuvment, said: “It is astonishing to learn that 95 per cent of all mental health apps are not evidence-based.

“We are thrilled to be bringing this cutting-edge research from King’s College London to market and to be partnering with them.”

Companies using Muuvment Lens are expected to benefit significantly because each programme is modified to the specific needs of their organisation based on the study findings.

Buckeye Transplant Services, a customer, said that Muuvment fostered a dramatic improvement in how staff worked together.

Jared Ackley, the president of Buckeye, explained: “We integrated the Muuvment platform and I can confidently say it has revolutionised the way our team interacts and collaborates. It's not just a tool; it's a catalyst for positive change.”

Graham Pewter, chairman of Muuvment, said: “We are proud to have added Lens to our product suite, representing as it does a powerful resource for our client companies to support the mental health and resilience of their teams.”

Lens includes brief, accessible sessions (15–20 minutes each) designed for integration into employees' busy schedules, enabling practical and incremental development of resilience skills.

Zabi Yaqeen, the president and cofounder of Muuvment, explained: “The proportion of employees experiencing mental health symptoms has become alarming. Organisations are well placed to deliver mental health support to their staff, thereby having a positive impact on the lives of their employees.

“Organisations in turn benefit from accompanying improved productivity, reduced absenteeism and increased employee engagement.”

Lens can be delivered seamlessly either through the Muuvment platform or integrated into an organisation’s existing learning management system. The programme is supported by a personalised onboarding process and expert guidance from both King’s College London and 3B Impact.
