The mother of a murder victim whose other son was recently jailed has been accused of stabbing a woman at the family home.Valita Harford, 51, from Mission Lane, Pembroke, lost her son Kumi Harford to a gun murder in December 2009.The man who killed him, gang member Antonio Myers, was jailed last week for 38 years.Ms Harford’s other son, Jakai Harford, was jailed for five years earlier this month for dealing drugs at the family home.She was charged in Magistrates’ Court yesterday with unlawfully wounding Shaynell Harvey on Wednesday, September 28.Ms Harvey is understood to be Ms Harford’s goddaughter. The defendant showed no emotion as she was charged with the offence, and did not speak other than to confirm her name and enter a not-guilty plea.She will stand trial at Magistrates’ Court in December.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner granted her bail of $2,000 until then.
