As part of the global effort, staff took part in local volunteer projects benefiting several island charities. These included clearing invasive trees with the Bermuda Zoological Society on Trunk Island, cooking meals for over 200 clients at Meals on Wheels, and sorting donations at the Hospitals Auxiliary of Bermuda’s thrift store, The Barn.
Other teams helped repaint and garden with Waterstart on Burt’s Island, recorded storybook videos for The Reading Clinic’s website, and painted and cleaned Tomorrow’s Voices’ Warwick facility.
This year’s Global Day of Giving saw Axa XL volunteers participate in 242 projects around the world.
