Oliver Betschart continued his fine form with a top-50 showing in the prestigious Uswing Mojing Junior World Championships at the iconic Torrey Pines Golf Club in La Jolla, California.

The top amateur demonstrated composure, discipline and skill throughout the 54-hole event as he navigated narrow fairways and tucked pin positions on the way to finishing tied 48th among a formidable field of 216 players in the senior boys division at ten-over 226.

Betschart shot an opening round five-over 77 at Torrey Pines South Course, known for its challenging layout, which he followed up with rounds of 73 and 76.

Players enjoyed pristine course conditions and three days of beautiful weather. However, a steady breeze began to roll in around mid-morning each day, gradually adding another layer of difficulty. Combined with the already narrow fairways and firm greens, the wind made precision and strategy all the more critical.

Also flying Bermuda’s flag at the event was Dylan Muso who carded rounds of 86, 84 and 84 to finish tied for 202nd at 38-over 254.

Despite the challenges, Muso displayed determination and gained valuable experience competing on one of golf’s toughest stages.

American Dylan Boenning won the tournament by one shot after carding a two-under 214.
