Man faces murder charges over Legends Bar shooting
A man has been charged in connection with the double murder at Legends Bar in the West End.
Jeremiah Tyrell, 23, was charged in Magistrates’ Court today with the murders of Shaquan Williams and Jasmin Smith.
He was also charged with unlawfully wounding Jaih Santucci, Kishon Zuill and Nzhari Phillips with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
Mr Tyrell was further charged with two counts of the use of a firearm to commit murder and three counts of the use of a firearm to wound.
The ten offences were alleged to have happened on May 1 in Sandys. Mr Tyrell is accused alongside Tyrese Lee and others not before the courts.
Mr Tyrell did not enter a plea because the matters were indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.
Senior magistrate Maxanne Anderson sent the matter to the Supreme Court’s September arraignments session and remanded Mr Tyrell, from Pembroke, in custody.
Mr Lee, 23, from Pembroke, appeared in Magistrates’ Court in May and is also expected to appear at the September arraignments session. He has yet to enter a plea to the charges.
